On Tuesday, strong aftershocks were recorded in eastern Afghanistan, with tectonic activity once again being felt most strongly in the mountainous provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar, which were affected by Sunday’s earthquake. Based on assessments, there is a pressing need for emergency food and hygiene products in addition to temporary accommodation. HIA humanitarians from the Kabul office have therefore begun preparations to deliver aid in the catastrophe-struck region.
