About 20 million HUF donation arrived to support the reconstruction of a Croatian high school
After the unprecedented earthquakes that hit Croatia in the last days of 2020, HIA has started a national fundraising campaign to help the victims of the tragedy in the neighbouring country. HIA’s colleague travelled to Petrinja, the epicentre of the continous earthquakes, and visited surrounding towns as part of the assesment of the caused harm. According to the local coordinating bodies and the results of HIA’s assessement the NGO is going to support the reconstruction of a high school in Glina.
To support this aim HIA’s donors donated about 20 million HUF in January. HIA is planning to spend this donation on the reconstruction of broken glasses, cracked walls and the replacement of ruined school equipments.
Currently the school is working on launching online education but after the reconstruction of the seriously damaged building, the 197 students of the school will be able to return and continue their studies.
