Earthquake in Croatia
In the last days of 2020 unprecedented earthquakes hit several settlements of Croatia. The epicenter of the deadly quake – which could be felt in several parts of Hungary as well – was about 42 kms away from Zagreb, near Petrinja. People died and the most serious damages on buildings occured in this region. Following the humanitarian help of the first days, the assesment of the harm is in process: a professional from HIA is joining to help on the spot as well.
HIA is starting a national fundraising to join the international cooperation that supports the rebuilding: we are asking our donors to express their solidarity towards the victims of the earthquake of the neighbouring country.
